recently I thought a lot about adding an English translation to my German blog posts.
The PRO is obvious: People coming to my blog from countries other than Germany, Switzerland or Austria (and my stats show: there indeed are some 😉 ) finally would be able to enjoy the content as well! (I do offer a translation tool in my sidebar, but the poor thing doesn’t seem to be very popular.. Wonder why? Banned it therefore almost to the bottom ;-))
The CON: It would take even more time to finish my posts up to the point where I am happy with them.
Also I’m wondering: Won’t the English-speaking readers be disappointed when most of the patterns I link to then turn out to be in German?
Anyway – TODAY I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A GO! *Yeay*
I will try to put at least a short English summary under the German text. Hopefully I will get some reax to that so I can see if that’s sufficient to make readers happy…. Because I really WANT to make my readers happy! *excitednodding*
So now I’d like to know from YOU:
How do YOU do it on YOUR blog? If you DON’T offer a translation: Why not? If you DO: Do you write in both English and German? Or only English? And do you have many foreign readers?
Best wishes and lots of kisses
